DESIGN BRIEF
The Retro, one of the models that started the freeride no-cam revolution, continues to be the standard to which all others are compared. Now with all-grid construction, the Retro sets new standards for durability as well.
ON WATER
Every year we marvel at how the Retro combines stability and power as well ask if not better than, any other RAF. It's as powerful as most cam sails and has the top-end stability of all but the raciest rigs. The Retro is very tunable. More downhaul allows it to go from a wideboard powerhouse to slalom speedster. The only price paid for power is a slightly harder rotation than other RAFs.
RIGGING
Sailworks' attention to detail is immediately noticeable - everything about the sail looks solid and built with purose. One of the best fatures is the accuracy of th edownhaul guide. The sail works to perfection so long as your downhaul tension is within the guide limits.
CONCLUSION
Sailworks continues to improve what was already a stable, powerful and tunable RAF.
