::2007 Sailworks hucker 6.6::
BORN: As a Bruce Peterson jump sail. That is, till a larger 5.6 Hucker model was embraced by all for its low-end power.
BUZZ: Peterson would choose the 6.6 Hucker over his tried-and-true Retro 7.0 - a sail model he's raced on for the last 9 years.
OUR TEST: "Stiff, direct power that lives up to its hype" was one tester's conclusion. Its energetic, hands-on ride also spiced up light-wind sessions. Fast, stable and tunable through a broad range - especially in the gusts, where it often caused outbursts of "yahoo!"
CAVEATS: Comparing it to the Ezzy 6.5, most testers concluded the Hucker offered a direct, hang-on power that required a more aggressive mindset. Some testers found the Hucker a touch heavy, and better suited to mid-weight to heavyweight riders.
WHO WINS: Aggressive intermediate to expert sailors looking to rig small, plane early and hop on a sail whose spunky attitude says. "I dare ya."
