To say that I am "STOKED" would be a "MASSIVE" understatement! Being a windsurfer you will understand "that place" you go to after an epic session. Well that's me right now! Sorry about the crap photo of a half de-rigged sail. But I was a little pre-occupied. What a sail....... It far exceeded my expectations. Lively, nimble, dynamic, surprising wind range, stable. I could go on for ages coming up with new words to describe it. I got to the beach and opened a big bag of "STOKE" Rigged my "STOKE" & sailed off in blissful ecstasy. A couple of guys on the beach remarked on it's good looks & "tough" construction. But they said "probably a bit big for today.... It's about 20 knots in the gusts out there" I rigged it with plenty of downhaul & a little bit too much outhaul. WOW............ Gusts .... What gusts..... The thing just accelerated & kept on going. I was waiting for the top end.... You know that horrible point where you know you have picked the wrong sail... But it didn't come, the bigger the gust the faster I went (I didn't know my "big" board could go that fast) My cousin Martin was out with me on a Pryde 7.5 & he was complaining of being overpowered.( and he's a big guy too) I found myself looking at him strangely. At one point a squall came through, probably gusting nearly 25 knots, The sail just twisted off & dumped the excess & I went faster still. I know I am ranting now, but I can't stop myself. I am still smiling like a split watermelon. I am also quite confident of a couple of sales$$$ to people on the beach.. They took cards & gave me details. Very impressed with the results. With some luck I will be able to send you some video footage. There was a German guy "Jergen" who had a helmet camera. I did a few fly by's with him & he has promised to e-mail me the links to the footage. Fingers crossed. I should shut up now. That is... if you are still reading after all this time.
