The Freewave is a powerful, rangy, and delightful sail that is soft in transitions, jibes, and in onshore wave and chop conditions. Rigging is a delight with Ezzy's graded downhaul and outhaul indicators that are color coded to match downhaul and outhaul settings. Simply downhaul to the wind conditons, then mount the boom and outhaul to the same setting based on the color matching string at the clew of the sail. Super fast and accurate every time.

The draft on the Freewave is similar to Ezzy sails from several years ago without the deep initial shaping found in the Wave Panther sail. This provides for neutral feel in jibes and also makes it reasonably suitable for freestyle. The Freewave has slightly shorter clew lengths and lighter reinforcement details, giving it an amazing light feel and low actual weight. The 5.8m2 feels like you are riding a 5.2m2 with its short clew which is a delight. Construction is 100% spectra X-ply with a small tear drop shaped vinyl window for visibility, an Ezzy designed all stainless triple roller tack fitting that is the best in the industry, double reinforcement spectra X-ply in the foot panel, and a beefy built in mast pad.
