Isthmus Staff Review
:: 2009 Ezzy Free(ride)3 5.5 & 6.5 tested in Bonaire ::
Rigging is a delight with Ezzy's graded downhaul and outhaul indicators that are color coded to match downhaul and outhaul settings. Simply downhaul to the wind conditons, then mount the boom and outhaul to the same setting based on the color matching string at the clew of the sail. Super fast and accurate every time. The 5.5m2 has 6 battens and a foot that is somewhat less full than a full on freeride sail, so you won't catch the foot in your maneuvers and jibes whereas the 6.5m2 has 7 battens and a full foot panel to completely close the gap. The 6.5m2 feels like a much smaller sail in your hands, more like a 5.7m2 with its effortless power, control, comfort, and easy jibing. These are the best freeride sails I have ever used. : check out the specs : |
