::2007 Exocet Cross 118::
Sail Range: 4.5 - 7.5
Optimal Sail: 6.0
WHAT WE LIKED: Responsive, friendly and fun, all in a compact package that, as one tester commented, "practically jibes itself." A favorite for its well-balanced performance, and for carving maneuvers.
BUYER BEWARE: Some felt its rather inset foot straps favored waist harness users and limited top-end speed. Two heavyweights felt its early planing was sluggish.
BETTER THAN THE FLEET AT: Inspiring rider confidence; making the test team long for an opportunity for a real-world wave session with it.
BEST SUITS: Board minimalists who want a do-it-all performer for flat-water, bump-and-jump and ocean sailing.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: Cush one-third-length deck pad and double-density shock-absorbing foot pads.
