WHAT WE LIKED: Family fun - full EVA deck pad offered climb-aboard comfort. A removable center fin helped with learning basics in light winds. Durable construction, too. Most testers scored it very high in early planing and in the jibes; short fin was shallow-water friendly.
BUYER BEWARE: Advanced riders felt the foot straps were too far inboard; others fount it a touch tippy for heavyweight beginners.
BETTER THAN THE FLEET AT: Offering real-deal performance in a shape built for all levels and priced at $999.
BEST SUITS: Aggressive beginners looking for a board they won't soon outgrow; families with lots of sailor levels.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: Two carrying handles made transport easy.
