Powerex Free 80

The FREE Line is a Standard diameter mast particularly developed for sailor looking for a nice price mast with performance comparable to Big Brother SPEED. It is PowerEx best selling SDM mast. The taper is the same of the SPEED 100 except its base diameter is runs higher up the bottom section of the mast. The mast is 80% carbon with 20% glass epoxy fiber. Built with Ultra Stratification technology where pre-preg glass and carbon fiber are matched electronically to ensure a perfect quality. The boom area is protected by the exclusive gold & polymer shield to avoid overstress from the boom front. This mast also uses the autoclave consistency production process (available to very few companies) and involves curing the carbon under high pressure, literally driving tiny air bubbles that cause imperfections out of the mast. The FREE line uses the exclusive Aero Sanding Joint process where it's sanded by air-pressure to ensure that it's grinded the same to avoid mast sections from getting stuck together.
