Starboard Futura – Fast, Fun and Easy Jibing Freeride Boards
For 2017 Starboard redesigned the Futura boards to promote more accessible freeriding performance. Designed to improve early planing, be easier to jibe and more comfortable and accessible for a larger range of rider skills. The wind range has also been improved. These boards are shorter, wider and thinner versus prior models. Tail shapes are narrower and incorporate open-angle cut-away shapes to the bottom to improve speed and control. Bottom shapes share the Isonic's rocker line, but incorporate more Vee throughout the hull. The tail thickness is greater above the cut-outs then Isonics – to promote earlier planing and easier jibing qualities. Rail shapes are thin and more round vs Isonic's to help cornering qualities and comfort to the riders. Last these boards include a full on Drake Slalom DW race ready fins – to maximize your speed and acceleration potential. New shapes to deliver more freeriding / freerace performance excitement and fun.

UltraCore Reflex Carbon - Introducing a special series of UltraCore Reflex Carbon models. These are even lighter again. They are our very lightest boards built in the most exclusive, lightest grade biaxial carbon fibres on top of our exclusive UltraCore sandwich core. Combining these two gives boards that are Starboard's absolute lightest.
UltraCore Hybrid Carbon - The new UltraCore Carbon models come in at the same weight to 100g lighter than last year’s Carbon model. These boards are stiffened up between rider’s back foot and the mast foot pressure, with four smart-carbon vectors on the deck and a full Carbon Innegra perimeter band.
